Designing Cultural Future

Designing Cultural Futures is a collection of toolkits created for those working at the intersection of culture, design, equity, and international collaboration. These resources are for cultural practitioners, facilitators, and institutions seeking to embed principles of fairness, inclusion, and regenerative thinking into their work.

This curation brings together practical guides and reflective tools that challenge dominant narratives and expand the possibilities for how we imagine and co-create cultural change. Whether you’re navigating climate adaptation in the arts, exploring consentful cross-cultural partnerships, or striving for equity in creative leadership, this collection offers inspiration and structure for deep, systemic work.

About the Guest Curator: Sudebi Thakurata

Sudebi Thakurata is a narrative designer, facilitator, design educator, futurist, writer, and researcher. Her work lives at the intersections of design, culture, and transformation — rooted in social, environmental, and cultural inquiry. She leads with imagination and criticality, facilitating processes that explore what fair, inclusive, and regenerative futures might look like.

Sudebi is the lead designer behind the Fair Collaboration Toolkit for EUNIC and brings her expertise in intercultural dialogue and participatory practice to this special collection. Through this curation, she invites us to reflect deeply on how we design, who we design with, and why — so we can shape futures that are more just, vibrant, and collaborative.
